In fact, an “encroachment” campaign has been launched against temporary settlements (Kachhi Basti) of Hindus displaced from Pakistan living in the Amarsagar Gram Panchayat area under the jurisdiction of Jaisalmer District Magistrate Tina.
Due to this campaign, the politics of Rajasthan has heated up and the state minister has spoken of action against the officers.
Minister said – trying to defame the government
Rajasthan minister Pratap Khachariawas said on the incident that the government will take action against the officials who are trying to defame the state government. He said that what the officials did was wrong, they would have to answer. We will take action against them. Pakistani Hindu migrants settled in Jaisalmer allege that the Rajasthan government had ordered the eviction of Pakistani Hindu migrants from government land.

Talking about the eviction drive of Pakistani Hindu migrants from the area, Jaisalmer District Magistrate Tina Dabi said that we had issued a circular on April 5 as well. We were trying to convince them, but many people did not agree. The place where they were staying was already allotted to others. He, however, said that the migrants would be taken to the shelter homes till they get proper allotment of land.
Dabi further said that land will be allotted to those who have got citizenship. He also said that the encroachments which were removed yesterday were done during the last 10 days only and were new.
