Cyclonic storm threat over Bay of Bengal, what will be the weather for next 2 days, read IMD report

The IMD has predicted a cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal on May 6. According to the Meteorological Department, an area of cyclonic winds may form over the Bay of Bengal. Because of this, a low pressure area may form in this area in the next 48 hours. The Meteorological Department has also announced an alert for the next 5 days. According to IMD, light to moderate rains with strong winds are likely to occur over northwest India for the next 2 days. The US weather forecast model ‘Global Forecast System (GFS)’ and the European Center for Medium Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) have also predicted a cyclonic storm over the Bay of Bengal. The possibility has been expressed. The IMD has also expressed similar apprehensions.

The IMD says that according to some models, a cyclone may form over the Bay of Bengal. We are monitoring it. However, Skymet Vedan, a private agency, said the chances of any tropical storm in the first 15 days of May are very low. No cyclonic storms were observed in the seas of India in April. This is the fourth year in a row that no tropical storm occurred in April.

There may be rain with heavy storms

According to IMD, Uttar Pradesh today may experience thunder, lightning, squalls and rain at many places along with hail. The speed of strong storm is 40 to 50 kmph. It is likely to last for an hour. Many places received light to moderate rains in UP on May 1. While there was heavy rain in some places of western UP. The IMD has predicted heavy rain at isolated places over Punjab, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe.
