Jiah Khan Case: The court will give a verdict on the Jiah Khan suicide case today, what will happen to Sooraj Pancholi?
A special CBI court will deliver its verdict today in Bollywood actress Jia Khan’s suicide case. In this case, actor Sooraj Pancholi is accused of inciting the actress to commit suicide.
Jiah Khan Suicide Case Verdict: After nearly ten years, the special CBI court in Mumbai can give a verdict on April 28, i.e. today, in the Jiah Khan suicide case. In this case, the late actress’ boyfriend and Bollywood actor Sooraj Pancholi was accused of instigating Jia to commit suicide. Special CBI judge AS Syed heard closing arguments from both sides on Thursday and reserved his judgment in the matter.
What was the whole matter?
Films like ‘Nishabd’ and ‘Ghajani’ actress Jia Khan committed suicide at her home in Juhu on June 3, 2013 and Suraj Pancholi was accused of inciting the actress to commit suicide. The Juhu Police was investigating the matter and during the investigation, on 7 June 2013, the police found a 6-page handwritten suicide note from Jia Khan’s house. Following this, on 11 June 2013, the Mumbai Police arrested Sooraj Pancholi, son of Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi, on charges of inciting Jia to commit suicide.
Jia’s mother was not satisfied with the police investigation
Suraj Pancholi was released on bail on 1 July 2013 after spending almost a month in jail. Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia Khan is not satisfied with the police investigation in this matter. He said it was a case of murder and it should be investigated as a case of murder. In 2014, the Bombay High Court on the plea of Jia’s mother assigned the responsibility of investigating the case to the CBI. In the year 2015, the CBI investigated the case and filed a charge sheet against Suraj Pancholi in the court. In this, charges were framed under Section 306 against Sooraj Pancholi for inciting the actress to commit suicide.
The court rejected Jia’s mother’s plea for an FBI investigation
After this, Jia’s mother Rabia once again approached the High Court and this time sought to hand over the investigation of the case to the American investigative agency FBI, but Rabia’s plea was rejected by the High Court. The case started hearing in 2019 and concluded on 20 April 2023.
What did Jia Khan write in the letter?
Jiah Khan wrote a letter to Sooraj Pancholi before his suicide, in which he said, “I don’t know how to tell you this but I can tell you now because I have nothing left to lose. I Already lost everything. If you are reading this I might not be in this world or going. I am so broken inside. You may not know that you have affected me to such an extent that I I’ve lost myself in loving you. Even though you hurt me so much. These days I don’t see any light I don’t want to wake up. There was a time when I wanted to live my life and future with you.
I was afraid of getting pregnant: Jia
But you shattered my dreams. I feel dead inside. I have never given so much of myself or cared so much about someone. You cheated and lied to me in return for my love. It doesn’t matter how many gifts I gave you or how beautiful you thought I was. I was afraid of getting pregnant, but I gave myself completely, the pain you caused me destroyed me and my soul. I can’t eat or sleep, I can’t think of anything. I am running away from everything.
