Rain forecast again in the state amid scorching heat, know in which area unseasonal rain will fall
Temperatures above 40 degrees have been recorded in four cities of the state on Sunday. Amreli recorded the highest temperature of 41 degrees.
Gujaratis should be ready to roast in the Aganbhatti. The Meteorological Department has predicted scorching heat for two days and the temperature is likely to go up to 43 degrees. Also, two days of heat wave is likely in Kutch. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature will increase by two to three degrees in the next two days. Due to which the temperature will be around 41 to 43 degrees. Temperatures above 40 degrees have been recorded in four cities of the state on Sunday. Amreli recorded the highest temperature of 41 degrees. While the mercury reached 40.3 in Bhuj, 40.5 in Rajkot, 40.3 in Surendranagar and 39.8 degrees in Ahmedabad.
Amid the heat wave, rain is forecast again after two days. The Meteorological Department has predicted unseasonal rain on April 26 and 27 due to activation of Western Disturbance. Unseasonal rain will occur in Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Botad, Surendranagar, Banaskantha and Sabarkantha on April 26. So on April 27 unseasonal rain is forecast in Bhavnagar, Botad, Surendranagar, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Chotaudepur, Dang, Navsari and Valsad districts.
The IMD has predicted light to moderate rains with thunder, lightning, gusty winds over the northeastern areas in the next two days and said it will gradually reduce thereafter. Heavy rain is likely at various places in the states of Assam and Meghalaya on Sunday.
The Meteorological Department has predicted scattered rain with thunder and lightning over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and eastern parts of Chhattisgarh in the next five days. Apart from this, hailstorm is likely in Chhattisgarh till Monday, while Vidarbha region of Maharashtra is likely to witness hailstorm in the next two days.
On the other hand, if we talk about the coastal states, Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are likely to receive heavy rain at isolated places. Rains may continue till Monday in Kerala and Mahe. Coastal Andhra, Yanam, Telangana are also likely to experience hail tomorrow.
Parts of these areas, rest of Andhra Pradesh and other states including Telangana, interior Karnataka are likely to receive light rain during the next four days, the IMD said. Thunderstorm is likely over rest of South India.
Light, scattered rain is likely over Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada regions during the next five days. While there is a possibility of light and scattered rain in Gujarat on Wednesday and Thursday. So, there is a possibility that the Gujarati people who are baking in the heat in the scorching summer will get a big relief from the rain. Meteorologists said, light rain with thunder is likely to occur in the entire region during the next 24 hours, except for West Rajasthan.
