Ruthless youth axed his parents and sister to brutal murder, elder sister who went to maternal home survives

No one thought that after giving birth to the parents, the son, who was brought up with love, would turn into an enemy of the family and kill three members. One such incident happened in Dhandhari village of Azamgarh district of UP. The villagers are shocked by this incident. People do not understand that a young man living in their midst would become so aggressive and violent over a trivial matter that he would brutally kill his parents and younger sister.

Bhanu Pratap Singh, a resident of Dhandhari village in Kaptanganj police station area, lived with his family by building a house on the roadside outside the village. He scolded his son Rajan Singh (20) for stealing and selling wheat. This made Rajan angry. On the same night, he killed father Bhanu Pratap Singh (48), mother Sunita Devi (45) and sister Rashi Singh (13) with an axe. On the day of the incident, Rajan’s 15-year-old elder sister went to Nani’s house and survived.

Rajan’s father Bhanu Pratap Singh’s dead body was found in the verandah, mother’s near the door and sister’s blood-soaked body in the room. It is believed that the son must have first attacked the father with an axe, then killed the mother who came to his rescue at the door. The sister must have run to the room to escape, and Rajan must have killed her in the room. Accused Rajan is absconding after the incident. After this triple murder, the entire village is in mourning.

The people came to know about the incident of the massacre on the next day morning. People were shocked to see the scene of the incident. There was blood everywhere in the house. On receiving the information, the police reached and sent the bodies for post-mortem. A case was registered against Rajan on the complaint of Bhanu Pratap’s elder brother Bhupat Singh. After the post-mortem in the late evening, the bodies were cremated on a single pyre at Rajghat.
