FASTag system will end - Now the more kilometers you walk on the highway, expressway, the higher the toll will be

The ANPR system will be launched soon on this highway

There will no longer be a need for long lines on the highway. You no longer have to worry that you will have to pay full toll tax within a distance of 5 km. Highways from Rajasthan are going to be high-tech soon. The ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Reader) system is to be implemented soon.

In fact the Central Road Transport Department is considering bringing a new concept. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) in Rajasthan is to build a greenfield expressway where not a single Tolnaku will be built.

The biggest advantage of this system will be that the owner of the vehicle will have to pay the same toll tax for the number of kilometers he will drive on the highway. It will start with the Green Field Express passing through Rajasthan.

The largest dedicated expressway to be built in Rajasthan

  • Starting from Amritsar in Punjab to Jamnagar in Gujarat, the Green Field Expressway will also connect with Rajasthan. It will have connectivity to Punjab, Haryana and Arabian ports.
  • The total length of this Green Field Expressway in Rajasthan is 637 km. The total length of the project is 1,224 km in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
  • Upon completion of this project, it will become the largest dedicated expressway in Rajasthan. The special thing is, there will be less curves and turns on this expressway.
  • At present 64% (407 km) of the 6-lane project has been completed in Rajasthan. The total cost of the entire project is estimated at Rs 14,707 crore. The project is targeted to be completed by September 2023.
