Recently, a video has gone viral on social media. In this, during Holi, some young men are painting a Japanese girl badly. A case of rape of a Japanese girl has come to light on the day of Holi. A video of the girl has gone viral. In the video, it can be seen how the woman is being harassed by the crowd with paint and people are even pelting eggs on her head. The girl is looking very uncomfortable with people’s actions. Although the police have not received any complaint regarding this yet, the police have arrested and interrogated three people as the matter went viral.
It is noteworthy that now a statement has been issued by the police in this matter. In this the police have said that an update has been given regarding the ongoing tweets/posts on Holi’s social media/digital media platforms related to a foreigner. According to the police, the video shows what appears to be a Paharganj area which has been overlooked and is being analyzed to find out the exact location and time of the incident. Let us also say that the police have contacted the Japanese embassy and asked for information about the identity of the girl and the incident through e-mail.
In response to a mail sent by the Delhi Police, an embassy official confirmed that the girl had not lodged any complaint about the matter with the Delhi Police or the embassy.
About this, the police said that three boys, including a minor, have been arrested in connection with the viral Holi video and they have accepted the incident. All are residents of nearby Paharganj area and were enjoying Holi. It may be noted that action has been taken against him under the DP Act.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first case of rape against a foreign woman, but such cases have come up in the past as well.
