The bodies of a couple aged around 40 have been found in the bathroom of a house in Ghatkopar (East). There are no signs of external injury on the dead bodies. The police will now conduct further investigations based on what comes from the post-mortem examination. When the house was opened and the couple lying in the bathroom was shocked. After this the police was informed about the incident. After the initial procedure, both the bodies have been sent to Rajawadi Hospital for post-mortem.

The deceased have been identified as Deepak Shah (40) and Tina Shah (35), residents of Kukreja Palace in Pantnagar area. Deepak was involved in the garment business and the couple celebrated Dhuleti with their neighbors and family members on Tuesday. According to a report published in Hindustan Times, the police said that they had returned home after celebrating Dhuleti.

The incident came to know at around 1.30 pm when the family members tried to contact Shah, but there was no response from him. When they opened the door of their house with another key and checked inside, they found both the couple lying in the bathroom. The couple who opened the door and checked was shocked to see this. He reported this to the Pantnagar police station, a police team reached the spot and the couple was taken to the hospital. Where the doctors declared him dead.

A police officer said the couple had no children and lived alone in the house. It is now being speculated that he died while bathing. Senior police officer Ravidatta Sawant said, “There are no injury marks on the body. It is not yet clear how he died. The post-mortem report is awaited.”
