Husband and wife commit suicide with 5 children

Rajasthan Family Suicide- A shocking incident has come to light in Jalore district of Rajasthan. A husband and wife committed suicide by jumping into the Narmada canal with their 5 children in Sanchore city of the district on Wednesday. In this accident which took place at 2.30 pm, the police carried out rescue operations and at 6.30 pm, all the dead bodies were taken out of the canal. The body of a child of the family was found at 4 pm, while the bodies of a husband and wife and 4 children tied with ropes were found around 6:30 pm.

According to the neighbours, there was a fight earlier too

According to a report, a person informed the 101 helpline that Shankara of Galipa area had a fight with his wife. The man, who gave his name as Bhanwar Singh Rajput, said that after the fight, Shankar left the house in anger, taking his wife and children with him. Later, his clothes and mobile were found lying near the Narmada main canal in Siddeshwar. A search was then launched for him, only to find his dead body during the rescue operation.

According to the police, during the rescue operation, the bodies of all were found near the canal about 200 meters from where the clothes were found. They include Shankararam (32), his wife Badli (30), daughter Ramila (12), son Prakash (10), daughter Kegi (8), daughter Janki (6) and son Hitesh (3). Along with this, Shankararam’s entire family perished in a meager household.
