Gujarat Budget 2023: Biggest Budget Relief to Middle Class, 'Free Gas' Announcement Worth Watching
Today the budget of the state of Gujarat for the year 2023-24 was presented. This budget was presented as the highest so far of 3 lakh 1 thousand 22 crores. A budget of more than last year has been presented. There are no new taxes in this budget and no increase in old taxes. A budget has been presented that fulfills the expectations of each category. But some of the announcements in this budget are eye-catching. In which free gas cylinder has been talked about. This ad is an ad giving relief to the middle class and the poor.
Important announcement regarding free gas
A special announcement in the budget for the middle class and the poor is that under the Ujjwala scheme, a provision of ₹ 500 crore has been made to provide two gas cylinders free of cost to 39 lakh families every year. Also, 1 kg gram per month for NFSA families will now be provided across the state.
Disclosure regarding taxation and VAT
The happy thing for the citizens of Gujarat is that no tax of any kind has been imposed on the citizens of Gujarat. This budget without any tax changes is turning out to be a rosy budget for the citizens. A budget of 3.01 lakh crore with no new taxes has been presented by Gujarat Finance Minister Kanu Desai. In which the highest budget has been allocated to the education department. 916.87 crore is the budget. This year’s budget has been increased by 24 percent. VAT of CNG-PNG has been reduced. Kanubhai Desai has made a big announcement during the budget session. He has said that the VAT of CNG and PNG has been reduced in the state. VAT on CNG and PNG has been reduced from 15 percent to 5 percent.

This budget will make a developed Gujarat more prosperous and will help the budget to fulfill the expectations of the people. 300 crores have been provided to establish new medical colleges in Aravalli, Chotaudepur, Mahisagar and Dang districts of the state and to make Ambaji and Dharoi world-class tourism and pilgrimage destinations.
