Former Governor of Gujarat Om Prakash Kohli passed away, funeral will be held at 12 noon

Prof. Kohli also served as the Governor of Gujarat from 2014 to 2019, apart from being the President of Delhi. He started his social life as an RSS volunteer.


Former Governor of Gujarat and former State President of Delhi BJP, Prof. Omprakash Kohli passed away at a hospital in Noida on Monday. His mortal remains have been kept for darshan at his residence at the Shayalaya Apartment in Mayur Vihar. His last rites will be performed at Nigam Bogh Ghat on Tuesday at 12 noon.


Prof. Kohli also served as the Governor of Gujarat from 2014 to 2019, apart from being the President of Delhi. He started his social life as an RSS volunteer. Teman held various responsibilities in Akhil Bharatiya Chhatra Sangh, Delhi University Chhatra Sangh, Delhi University Teachers Sangh. In January 1991, Kohli entered politics and assumed the post of Delhi BJP president. He became the Delhi BJP state president three times. Represented Delhi in the Rajya Sabha, took organizational charge of the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana while being a member of the BJP National Executive.


Delhi BJP Working President Virendra Sachdeva expressed his personal shock expressing deep grief over the demise of Prof. Kohli. He said that he was a dedicated volunteer by word of mouth. Under whose guidance thousands of volunteers, student leaders and party workers are working in the organization even today.
