Google: Bomb threat received at Google office in Pune, police nab caller from Hyderabad

The threatening caller identified himself as Panayam Shivanand. He also said over the phone that he lives in Hyderabad.


The Google office in Mumbai received a threatening call on Monday (February 13), with the caller saying that a bomb had been planted at the Google office in Pune. Google officials immediately informed the police about this and the Mumbai police along with the Pune police started an investigation. The threatening caller identified himself as Panayam Shivanand. He also said over the phone that he lives in Hyderabad. Let us tell that the caller made a call on a landline number. The police have given all the information related to this case to the Pune police, so that they can also investigate.

According to the information received from the sources, the police have not yet found any suspicious items from the office. Meanwhile, the caller has been arrested by police in Hyderabad. A team of Mumbai Police is also in Telangana and preparations have been made to bring the caller to Mumbai. It is not yet clear what was the person’s motive behind making the call. The police have registered a case against the caller under Sections 505 (1) (b) and 506 (2) of the IPC and are investigating.

The NIA also received a threatening mail


According to media reports, earlier a threatening email was received at the NIA Mumbai office. In which it was claimed that a person linked to the Taliban would attack in Mumbai. Mumbai Police and Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) are on alert since then.

The police quickly investigated the threat received by the NIA and found that the IP (Internet Protocol) address of the mail sender belonged to Pakistan. A similar mail was sent last month as well. The police did not find any facts in this. Police suspect that someone may have done this to play mischief.

BJP protest posters were put up in Naranpura, the bastion of BJP


In Naranpura, which is the stronghold of BJP in Ahmedabad city, BJP protest posters have been put up. Locals have put up posters outside the society regarding road cutting. In which it is written that the leader has forgotten the promises made during the election. Notice has been given to the societies from Narayanpura crossing to Naranpura village. Apart from this notice has also been given to the shops. There is outrage among the locals after receiving the deduction notice. According to people, before the election, the leaders had promised that the road would not be cut.
