Search engine Google has finally introduced its chatbot Bard to counter the challenge and competition posed by Microsoft-backed OpenAI and its AI chatbot, ChatGPT. Google will enter the field with its Bard to compete with Microsoft’s ChatGPT. Google has confirmed that it will soon begin public testing of its new AI chatbot, called Bard, based on the language model for the company’s Dialog app, or LaMDA.

In a blog post, Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai also talked about how AI-based services will come to Google Search as well. It may be noted here that till now LaMDA company’s AI Test Kitchen app was available in limited testing for select users. Pichai describes Bard as a conversational AI service that can simplify difficult tasks in addition to providing high-quality responses.

Google has finally launched its AI technology Bard. Bard was launched specifically to compete with OpenAI’s popular language model ChatGPT-3. Google CEO Sundar Pichai gave this information in an official blog post. Pichai describes Bard as a conversational AI service that can do things like simplify difficult tasks in addition to providing high-quality feedback. Google’s new Bard service is in the testing phase and plans to launch this AI tool to general public worldwide in the coming days.

Similar to ChatGPT is Google’s Bard

In a blog post detailing Bard, Pichai wrote, ‘Bard will be an outlet for creativity, a launchpad to help answer your questions and clarify new things. This allows you to do everything from learning about the best strikers in football to improving your skills.

All of Bard’s abilities and traits are yet to be announced. That is, it is not yet known what operations can be done through Bard. But it seems that this chatbot will be similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT. As the screenshot shows, users can ask Bard practical questions like how to plan a baby shower or what’s for lunch. Also, what ingredients have been used in the recipe, the answer to such questions can be known.

Bard will provide the latest information compared to ChatGPT

However, Sundarpichai says, Bard will find the latest, high-quality answers from the website and let users know. Which means Google’s latest AI tool can inform users about the latest events. Let us tell you that ChatGPT usually provides accurate data up to 2021 and has difficulty with the latest information. Because ChatGPT is trained on data up to 2021.

Bard is powered by LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications) developed by Google. LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications) is a convolutional neural language model. The company is currently releasing the Bard along with a lightweight model version of the LaMDA, Pichai says. This is because smaller models generally require less computing power, and thus Bard will be able to reach more users. And it will get more feedback. Google will share the feedback it receives from external users with its own internal testing to ensure that the quality of the answers it receives from Bard is of a high-standard and based on real-world information.
