K Viswanath Passes Away Veteran director of Telugu cinema and Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner K Viswanath is no more. He died at the age of 92. There is a wave of mourning in Telugu and Hindi cinema.


K Viswanath Death: Veteran director of Telugu cinema K Viswanath passed away on Thursday night. At the age of 92, he said goodbye to this world. In the year 2017, he was honored with Dadasaheb Phalke, the highest award of Indian cinema. K Vishwanath had won five National Awards and 10 Filmfare in his lifetime.

Vishwanath is no more


K Vishwanath was running ill for a long time, he had problems of old age. It is an incomplete loss for Telugu cinema as well as Bollywood. In 1992, K Vishwanath was awarded the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award and Civil Honor by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for his contribution in the field of arts. In the year 1995, he made his directorial debut with the film ‘Govaram’. Akkineni Nageswara Rao was in the lead role in this film.

Anil Kapoor expressed grief


K Vishwanath’s film is known for its upliftment in the society. His films are known for addressing the issue of caste, colour, disability, gender discrimination, misogyny, alcoholism and socio-economic challenges. There is a wave of mourning in the film world. Paying tribute to this great artist on Twitter, Anil Kapoor wrote – I have learned a lot from you Vishwanath ji. Being with you on the sets of the film Ishwar gave me the feeling of being in a temple… you are my guru…
