Wife commits suicide in Surat, husband's pot bursts with suicide note written on palm

Incidents of suicide are frequently encountered in Surat. A married woman, fed up with her husband’s torture, committed suicide in Gitanagar society within the limits of Limbayat police station.

Surat: A married woman living in Gitanagar society at Parvat village in Surat committed suicide. Parineeta wrote the reason for suicide with a pen on her left hand and committed suicide by hanging herself.

Incidents of suicide are frequently encountered in Surat. A married woman, fed up with her husband’s torture, committed suicide in Gitanagar society within the limits of Limbayat police station. The husband used to torture to such an extent that the life of the woman was poisoned. Sita and Praveen got married in the year 2014. He has two children from this marriage. Three years of married life went on happily. However, after three years, the woman was repeatedly beaten by her husband Praveen. The husband used to doubt his wife Sita saying why she did not bring anything in dowry.

In 2018, when his mother and brother came to inquire about his wife Sita, the husband got angry and beat his wife. So the wife went to stay at her father’s house. During which she stayed for approximately one month. After that, the husband went to the father-in-law and reconciled and brought the wife to Surat. However, even after that, the husband often tortured and did not even give the phone. And often used to beat. Tired of all this, the wife Sita committed suicide by hanging herself by writing a suicide note with a pen in her left hand on January 24.

The deceased woman had written on her left hand in Hindi, ‘Muje mera pati bahut bhasat khate hai… Meri koi galti nahi hai mein jeena chahti hoon par itni bhastei mein kaise jiugi’, the wife had committed suicide by writing such a text. Sita’s brother filed a complaint in the Limbayat police station regarding the entire incident, the police registered a crime of incitement based on the suicide note and arrested the husband Praveen and conducted further investigation.
