He was cremated on Saturday in Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh. Like Tanuj, his elder brother was also very interested in acting and was associated with a theater club in Maharashtra for a long time.

Praveen Mahashabde was 53 years old. Tanuj says that his brother’s contribution has been very important in the place where he is standing today. It was his brother who inspired him to enter the acting world. Tanuj is deeply hurt by the demise of elder brother. There is an atmosphere of mourning in his entire family. MP from Dewas Lok Sabha constituency Mahendra Singh Solanki reached Tanuj Mahashabde’s house and consoled the bereaved family members.


Praveen Mahashabde has been a part of theater for almost 10 years. He also often participated in the programs of Navyug Natya Mandal of Maharashtra. Along with this, he has rendered his services while holding various positions in the Maharashtra society.

Talking about Tanuj Mahashabde, he is seen in Taarak Mehta as Krishnan Iyer, husband of Babita ji aka Munmun Dutta. Like Jethalal and Babita ji, Iyer also has a good fan following. He has been a part of the show for more than 14 years.


It is said that earlier Tanuj joined the team as a writer, later he was cast for Iyer in the show. Many people think that Tanuj is South Indian, but actually he belongs to Dewas near Indore.
