Ukraine’s national police chief Ihor Klymenko said an emergency service helicopter crashed in Brovary, an eastern suburb of Kyiv. Nine people on board the helicopter were among those who lost their lives.

Local media quoted a police spokesman as saying the dead included Interior Minister Denis Monastirski and his deputy minister. At the same time, the head of the Kyiv regional administration, Oleksiy Kuleba, said on his Telegram channel that all students and employees had been evacuated from the building. He said that police and doctors are working at the accident site.
