Necessary instructions have been given to concerned Ministries and Departments to provide emergency services, instructions to keep medicines, oxygen supplies and ambulance services ready.
Considering the sudden increase in Covid cases in various countries including China in the last 24 hours, the Indian Medical Association has also gone into alert mode. And announced new guidelines related to Kovid-19. The association has appealed to the public that everyone should follow the Covid guidelines properly with immediate effect. People have been requested to wear facemasks. Necessary guidelines are also provided along with this.
IMA has said that in the last 24 hours, about 5.37 lakh new cases of Corona have been reported from major countries like America, Japan, South Korea, France and Brazil. While 145 new cases have been reported in India in the last 24 hours. Out of which four cases are of the new China variant – BF.7. In such a situation, people should be careful now.
IMA further said that with strong infrastructure in public and private sector in India, competent medical experts as well as active leadership support from the government and availability of adequate drugs and vaccines, we are able to manage any situation like in the past.
Guidelines of Indian Medical Association
(1) Avoid going to crowded places
(2) Avoidance of unnecessary travel
(3) Avoiding the marriage event if possible
(4) Wear mask regularly in public places
(5) Use sanitizer
(6) Social distancing required
(7) Wash hands with soap-water or sanitizers
(8) Avoid international travel
(9) Consult a doctor if symptoms like fever, sore throat, cough, diarrhea etc. occur
(10) Get your remaining vaccines, including booster doses, as soon as possible
The IMA has said that the situation is not alarming at present so there is no need to panic. Can be prevented by therapy. So everyone is advised to follow the guidelines to control the virus.
