State government alert on Corona: 3 cases of sub-variant of Omicron in 6 months in Gujarat, immediate arrangement of medicine and covid care centers

The BF.7 variant was found in an old man from America in September
Last September, the corona report of an elderly person who came to Vadodara from America came positive. The report of which was sent for genome sequencing at Gandhinagar. The report of three people who came in contact with this woman was also done by the corporation at that time and all the reports came negative. The patient was treated in home isolation and did not develop any complications. His sample was sent to Gandhinagar for genome sequencing by a private lab. The result was the BF.7 variant. At that time contact tracing of 3 people was done according to the guidelines and the reports of all these were negative. The important thing in the whole matter is that the new variant has already arrived in Gujarat three months ago.
2 cases were reported in Ahmedabad and one in Vadodara
The way cases of BF.7, a sub-variant of Corona’s dangerous Omicron, are coming in China. Three cases of Omicron’s sub-variant were reported in Gujarat, with two in Ahmedabad and one in Vadodara. A week ago in Sola area of Ahmedabad city, the person got corona and was sent to the laboratory in Gandhinagar for his genome sequence. A sub-variant of omicron was detected in the genome sequence. A case was registered in Ahmedabad a week ago. Whereas the case reported in Vadodara is a new case. No announcement has been made by the state health department so far in this matter.
A case of BF.07 variant was reported in Ahmedabad in November
The in-charge head of the health department of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Dr. Bhavin Solanki said that a 57-year-old man living in Sola area got corona in the month of November, whose genome sequence was sent to Gandhinagar laboratory. In which Omicron BF. 07 variant was seen. His family is stable and the patient is on his way back to Australia.
All the patients recovered in home isolation
Health officials clarified that patients infected with the BF.7 and BF 12 forms of this Omicron variant were reported in July-October-November-2022.
All these patients were treated in home isolation.
20 active cases of Corona in the state
According to the information of the health department in the state, about 20 cases are active, in which 20 patients are considered stable. Two cases of corona were reported in the state yesterday, in which 1 case was reported in Ahmedabad and 1 case in Banaskantha. Out of 20 positive patients in the state, not a single patient is on ventilator. A total of 3030 people were vaccinated yesterday.
