Notorious stone killer gets life imprisonment: 6 years ago Hitesh made a fuss after seeing Crime Patrol, committing an act against nature and smashing his head with a stone.

6 years ago today in 2016, the townspeople of the peaceful city of Rajkot lived under the spell of fear for 3 consecutive months. The reason for this was ‘Stonekiller’ aka Hitesh Dalpatram Ramawat who committed three brutal murders. At that time, Stonekiller, who was roaming openly, caused a stir in the public mind. So in a certain area, people started keeping vigil night after night. The gay-minded stonekiller also snubbed the Rajkot police, but was arrested on 2 July 2016 following an intensive police investigation. Today, the court has given its verdict, in which the court sentenced Stonekiller to life imprisonment and a fine of 1 lakh in a murder case. While a year ago, the stone killer was acquitted in 2 cases based on suspicion.

Stonekiller had suicidal thoughts as a child

The police finally succeeded in nabbing the stone killer, who was ravaging not only Rajkot, but entire Saurashtra. As a child, at the age of 16, an act against nature was committed against him. Stonekiller committed the first murder behind the godown of Bhaktinagar railway station yard. Sagar, who was in a homosexual relationship, became the first victim of Mewada Stonekiller. He started the killing spree as he got a perverse pleasure from seeing him killed. He contemplated suicide in Jawana because of the evil inflicted on him as a child, but he decided to kill rather than die.

Although Hitesh, the stone killer who committed 3 murders in the city, studied only in class-6, he was very fond of reading papers. He used to go to the library and read the paper. Hitesh was active on social media and was addicted to Facebook on mobile. Hitesh was fond of watching crime TV serials like Sawdhan India, Crime Patrol, as well as detective movies, online nasty movies. It may be mentioned that the crime patrol team contacted the Rajkot police in this matter and sought help in making a serial on the entire massacre.


Murdered for money

On June 20, Trikon Bagh took Sagar Mewada to Bhaktinagar yard and robbed him of his mobile phone and cash after killing him. After that he was tempted to loot money. Similarly, on May 23, he hired a rickshaw driver Praveen Bard and looted the mobile, cash and rickshaw by pelting stones on University Road, but did not have physical relations. Finally, in Vallabh Rangani’s murder on 2nd June, he carried out the crime after physical intercourse by taking the stolen Activa and looting the mobile-cash.

Habit of calling from mobile

After the murder, the stone killer used to call the relatives of the deceased and inform them about the murder. In case of Sagar Mewada, he could not do it, as his mobile screen was locked. He used to call the relatives of Praveen Barad and Vallabh Rangani saying ‘Tapka dala hai’ in Hindi and remove the phone card. Police seized 20 SIM cards from him.

Originally a native of Surendranagar district

Stonekiller Hitesh’s hometown is Sadad of Surendranagar. Hitesh has one brother, one sister and is the youngest. Worked in a factory in Rajkot, then moved to Jamnagar at the age of 12. There he was working as a cleaner in transport at various places and lived in Bedeshwar, but came back to Rajkot and lived with his brother. He was kicked out of the house for not doing any work.

He led a wandering life after being kicked out by his family

After being kicked out from home, he used to wander in Rajkot. He mostly stayed in places including the Civil Hospital and Jubilee Garden. Meanwhile he had progressed into same-sex relationships and became active in this activity in the lure of money. His elder brother got married in the year 2001. Even then he was expelled from the house as his behavior was not good. After that he was living a wandering life here and there.

Was sexually abused as a minor


Having been a victim of atrocities as a child, Hitesh, who led a rough life, was driven to criminal activity and ended up a stonekiller. He used to loot money after killing. He himself was a victim of sexual abuse in his youth and thereafter his disorder continued to grow. According to Hitesh’s elder brother Jayesh, Hitesh left his studies halfway through. After Jayesh got married in 2001, he was evicted from the house.
