Earthquake- Delhi-NCR quake late night, 6 dead in Nepal

Midnight earthquake, two aftershocks in one and a half hours – North India including Delhi-NCR felt a strong earthquake at 2 am on Wednesday.


Speaking to the BBC Nepali Service, Kalpana Shrestha, Chief District Officer of Nepal’s Doti district, said a building collapsed due to the earthquake, killing six people and injuring five others.


Strong earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi NCR for about 20 seconds.


According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake struck at 1:57 minutes and 24 seconds late on November 8. Its center was 10 kilometers deep in the ground.

The tremors felt in Delhi were intense. In many areas, people came out of their homes late at night.
