AHMEDABAD: Robbers absconded after looting a bag full of 6 kg gold jewellery, investigation intensified with the help of CCTV
Ahmedabad loot: The victim was passing by Shahpur metro station on an Activa carrying a bag full of gold jewellery. Then two men wearing helmets came on a sports bike.
AHMEDABAD: Once again an incident of robbery worth crores of rupees has come to light in the city. Two bikers absconded with a bag full of gold jewelery worth crores from an employee of a jewellers. However, after informing the police, the police team including the crime branch has started running.
3 crores worth of gold looted
With the elections in Gujarat now counting days away, the police have been geared up to maintain law and order in the city. Patrolling, vehicle checking and preventive measures against anti-social elements are being carried out in the city. On the other hand, in the midst of all these incidents, as if challenging the city police, two robbers have robbed a bag full of 6 kg of gold jewelery worth around 3 crores from the public and crowded Shahpur area in the evening.

C. G. S on the road. S. Parag Shah and Dharmesh Shah, who work at Teerth Gold, went to different jewelers this morning with two bags full of gold jewellery. After showing jewelery at Jewelers and Pramukh Jewelers in Naroda, Giriraj Jewelers in Nikol and then at Bhavya Gold Palace in Bapunagar, C. from Shahpur Metro Station. G. were returning to the road. This incident happened during that time.
Attempted carjacking
The victim was passing by Shahpur metro station with a bag full of gold jewelery on the Activa. Then two men wearing helmets came on a sports bike. In which the person sitting behind stopped the Activa while the victim was trying to snatch the bag. In which the Activa fell down where the robbers took advantage of the opportunity and managed to escape with the bag placed in front of the Activa.
The robbers are being traced through CCTV
When the entire incident was reported to the police, a police convoy including senior officials reached the spot and started further investigation based on the CCTV footage of the surrounding area as well as the direction from which the robbers fled. However, it remains to be seen how soon the police will be successful in tracking down the robbers.
