Two young men from Surat who left their jobs as teachers prepared a hybrid kit, the scooter can be run in both petrol and electric modes, the kit costs only Rs.18 thousand.

Surat. A youngster from Surat has created a hybrid kit, which runs in both electric and petrol modes when fitted to a scooter. The price of which is 3. 18 thousand. Nirbhay Khokhar and Prateek Dudhat, makers of this kit, have earlier prepared 2 models of electric scooters and bikes, which have been sent to ICAT Haryana for clearance. Earlier he was a teacher and now runs a battery business. Both MSc in studies are Physics. Both were teachers in the same school and left their jobs to start this work. They started their battery business three years ago. After that, both of them prepared a hybrid kit together. This hybrid kit uses a motor, a battery and a controller. The price of a hybrid can go up or down depending on the battery capacity.
Opportunity in disaster
Pratik Dudhat, the maker of the kit, said that we were thinking of doing something new along with the educational work even before Corona, but when the Corona lockdown suddenly came, we thought of making a battery-powered vehicle as if we had an opportunity in the calamity. It started to be embodied, so that a hybrid kit has been prepared with the help of motor controller and battery in the scooter and this scooter has been prepared in such a way that it runs with the help of battery and with the help of petrol.
If the battery runs out, the scooter runs on petrol
Nirbhay Khokhar, who made the kit, said, first started making the battery. Then the concept of electric bike scooter was prepared and sent for permission. Meanwhile, the thought came to mind, what if the battery runs out during the ride? If a lot of time to charge. What if the charging station isn’t there? So we developed a hybrid kit. As big companies do not offer both modes, the cost increases and design changes will also be required. The battery is at home, so I am giving it at a cheap price.
Three important things in the kit.
This hybrid kit mainly consists of three things: controller, battery and motor. The scooter will run in the same way as it does in petrol mode, there will be no change in its design. The scooter will have two keys, one to run in petrol mode and the other to run the scooter from battery, both can be operated with one key. The battery is placed in the trunk and the motor is fitted by connecting it to the rear wheel. A controller is fitted between the battery and the motor. So that the speed of the motor can be controlled. The electric mode is dormant when the scooter is on petrol mode and the petrol mode is dormant when the scooter is on electric mode.
Have to charge for three hours.
A small battery has been designed to fit in the trunk of the scooter. A general lever has been provided to run on petrol and electric. A maximum speed of 50 to 60 km is reached on the battery and the scooter runs for 50 to 60 km. Once the battery is discharged, it can be charged for three to four hours and can be driven for 55 to 60 kilometers after full charge.
