The market fell 6 percent in the past one year

Stock markets across the world, including India, are under pressure due to rising inflation, continued interest rate hikes by central banks and heightened global tensions following the Russia-Ukraine war. But, the good thing is that Indian stock markets are less broken than their counterparts. Sensex and Nifty have fallen by more than 6 percent since last Dussehra till Dussehra this year. This is the first time since 2011 that both benchmarks have fallen this low. Importantly, in yesterday’s session, the Indian stock market witnessed a strong enthusiasm for Vijaya Dashami. The Sensex closed with a jump of over 1270 points while the Nifty also closed up around 400 points.
