Skandamata or Skandamata is the fifth form of Navadurga as depicted in Puranic scriptures. Skandamata means mother of Kartikeya. Kartikeya or Kartika Swami is the son of Mahadev and Parvati. One of whose names is Skanda. And from this name Skanda, Goddess Skandamata is worshiped. Goddess has four arms. He holds a lotus in his upper two hands. In the third hand he holds the child Kartikeya sitting on his lap. And his fourth hand is in Varadamudra. The vehicle of the goddess is the lion. This form of Navadurga is worshiped on the fifth day of Navratri. The goddess is also sometimes depicted seated on a lotus. Due to which she is also called ‘Padmasana Devi’. The varna of Devi is Shubhra, white.

⦁ Sadhaka should wear green color today to get the special grace of Mataji. Wearing green clothes gives the seeker a sense of peace and stability.
