Why is glycerin special for skin and hair?
Glycerin is extremely beneficial for both skin and hair. Plant-based glycerin is made synthetically by adding sugars that are derived from trees. So animal based glycerin is made from animal fat. Glycerin has no fragrance. Glycerin is used to remove facial blemishes, wrinkles, spots and dark circles. Very few people would know that glycerin is beneficial for skin as well as very effective for hair.
We all know that there are many expensive hair care products in the market today. The chemicals in these expensive products may look good for a while, but they are harmful in the long run. Due to which the shine of the hair decreases. Hair becomes thin along with roughness. If there is only one solution to overcome all these problems, it is the use of glycerin. By using glycerin, the problem at the root of the hair is also removed.
Keep this in mind while applying glycerin
If the hair is colored, dyed or highlighted then the use of glycerine should be avoided.
Make a hair mask by mixing castor oil with glycerin and apply it on your hair for half an hour and then wash your hair with a mild shampoo.
If you want to use glycerin as a spray, you can mix it with water or rose water.
Spray lightly on hair. If you spray too much, the hair will feel shiny. If you are taking 100 ml of water or rose water, take only 10 ml of glycerin.
A hair mask can be prepared by mixing glycerin in apple cider vinegar. This remedy softens the hair as well as makes it shiny.
If humidity is high, glycerine should be avoided in hair. In such a situation, glycerin reduces the nourishment of the hair instead of nourishing it.
Remember that glycerin should never be applied directly to the hair. Glycerin hair mask should be used by adding it to the conditioner.
