A young artist who was dancing as Parvati died of a heart attack during a night vigil in Sainiya, a village in Jammu. While dancing he suddenly fell on the ground and died. People sitting in the program continued to applaud him as part of his role. After a few minutes, fellow actors and organizers took care of him, but by then it was too late.
