Vadodara Love Jihad: Nude photos of victim found from accused Sameer Qureshi's mobile

The Gujarat Freedom of Religion (Amendment) Act 2021: Police have sent Samir’s mobile phone to FSL for further investigation. Police, on the other hand, have added two more clauses against the accused in the case.

Vadodara: The first case was registered in Vadodara city (Vadodara Love Jihad case) after the implementation of The Gujarat Freedom of Religion (Amendment) Act 2021 in the state. The latter is reported in the Vapi love jihad case. In the case of Vadodara, the police have seized the mobile of accused Samir Qureshi for investigation. Checking in the mobile, they found pictures of the victim teacher in a naked condition. Police have sent Samir’s mobile phone to FSL for further investigation. Police, on the other hand, have added two more clauses against the accused in the case. Details are also being found that the accused youth is also in touch with other Hindu girls.

Samir Qureshi of Vadodara, who claimed to be a Christian, fell in love with a teacher. The victim met Samir through social media. The accused Sameer Abdul Qureshi later raped the teacher several times. In this case, the accused had forcibly converted the teacher and got married to her. Samir Qureshi was arrested by the police after the girl lodged a complaint in the case. Sameer identified the girl as Martin. Police also seized Samir’s mobile phone after the complaint. From which pictures of the victim have been found naked.





The police investigation has added section five of the Gujarat Religion Freedom Amendment Act 2021, which found that the girl had been forcibly converted. He also added section 419 as Sameer had given false identity.

The police did not seek remand of the accused

The accused was produced in court in the first case of Gujarat Freedom of Religion Amendment Act 2021. However, the court did not seek remand of the accused in the case and the court ordered him to be remanded in custody. Police have launched a search for his father Abdul Qureshi, mother Farida, Nand Ruksar and friends Altaf Chauhan and Naushad Sheikh, who helped Samir in the case.

The accused decided to marry another girl

In the case of Vadodara, the accused took the wrong name and trapped the victim in a love trap and got her married. Who was later forcibly converted. Sameer later decided to marry another girl from Dadiapada. Samir did not believe the victim despite protesting.The young woman also became pregnant during the love affair. However, Sameer had an abortion. However, Samir decided to marry another girl from his community and the girl protested and lodged a complaint at the Gautri police station. Sameer was forcing the victim to live as his second wife.

Another case of love jihad was reported in Vapi

After the implementation of the law of love jihad in the state, the first crime was registered in Vadodara and the second crime was registered in Vapi in Valsad district. In Vapi, a married man named Imran Vashi Ansari lured a Jain girl into his love trap and later kidnapped her and fled. The accused Imran took the girl first to Ajmer and then to Indore in Madhya Pradesh. Here, the victim was raped and tried to get married by converting to another religion. The Vapi police have started an investigation after the family members of the victim lodged a complaint at the Vapi police station.
