A 24-year-old girl living in Gandhidham was sleeping on the roof of the house. Then a man rushed to the roof and knocked the girl half unconscious with a handkerchief. After that, he repeatedly raped the girl and preyed on his desires. ‘I will kill your parents if you inform anyone about the incident’ and threatened to take her away and sell her.

‘I’ll kill your parents and sell you’

According to the information received from the Gandhidham A-Division police sources, this incident took place from one month ago to the first of August at night and last Thursday morning. A city-dwelling girl used to sleep on the roof of her residential building at night. At that time, a man named Dinesh Devipujak, who lives in New Sunderpuri center of the city, used to rush to the roof of the girl’s house. Dinesh touched the girl with a handkerchief and made her semi-conscious. After that, the girl was repeatedly raped in a semi-conscious state. He continued to harass the girl and threatened to kill her mother and father if she spoke to anyone.

Police took legal action

Fed up with the brutality of the accused, the victim told the family. So when the girl’s mother came to know about the incident, Dinesh also threatened the girl’s mother not to tell anyone otherwise he will kill you two and take your daughter and sell her. The victim’s family became scared due to the threat of the accused. Also, the matter was suppressed due to disgrace in the society, but as Dinesh’s threats continued, finally the girl’s mother filed a criminal complaint with the police. Regarding this, the police took legal action against Dinesh.
