10 boats seized from Harami drain, 4 Pakistani arrested, rest absconding

The BSF was keeping an eye on the movement in the Harami drain. This place is adjacent to the Rann of Kutch. Since Pakistan starts its actions as soon as the rainy-flood season arrives, the BSF keeps a very strict vigil.
There is a dispute between India and Pakistan over Sir Creek. Sir Creek is between the junction of two oceanic steams. From here, Pakistanis are often engaged in infiltration attempts and also try to carry out smuggling. A lot of effort is made here in the guise of fishermen. On the eastern side of Sir Creek is Harami Nala, which is very important from the strategic point of view. From June to September, there is swamp everywhere and intruders try to take advantage of it. Meanwhile, BSF has recovered 10 Pakistani boats from Harami Nala, and also apprehended 4 Pakistani nationals. They are basically fishermen. The rest managed to escape
According to the information, BSF was monitoring the movement in Harami drain on Tuesday morning. This place is adjacent to the Rann of Kutch. Since Pakistan starts its actions as soon as the rainy-flood season arrives, the BSF keeps a very strict vigil. Meanwhile, on Wednesday morning, when the BSF saw a stir, the special team raided. BSF’s team carried out this raid between BP number 1165 and 1166 in Haraminala area, in which 10 Pakistani boats were caught. Meanwhile, 4 Pakistani fishermen have also been caught.
Nothing suspicious was found in the recovered boats
The BSF said that these Pakistanis have been taken into custody for illegally entering the Indian border. The combing operation is going on in the entire area. BSF is trying to find out whether any foreigner has come under India. However, nothing objectionable has been found from the boats recovered so far. But consignments of weapons, drugs and fake notes have been caught from this area before, so the BSF is not in a mood to take any kind of laxity.
Why is Harami Nala important?
The area of Sir Creek (earlier Baan Ganga) lies between India and Pakistan. It is swampy. Many small streams flow in this area. Two important streams are Harami Nala and Bondho Dhoro. This area is famous for its natural beauty. Humans do not live. Many species of snakes, scorpions are found here, which prove to be very dangerous even for the soldiers. There has also been a dangerous war between India and Pakistan in the year 1971 in this area. On one side of Sir Creek is Sindh occupied by Pakistan, and then Gujarat state of India. In simple words, ‘Harami Nala’ is a 22 km long sea channel dividing India and Pakistan in the Kutch region of Gujarat. There is a large amount of swamps and water here. Barmer district of Rajasthan is also connected to it.
