NIA has put a reward of 25 lakhs on Dawood, D Company's activities have raised concerns

An NIA official said that the Ibrahim gang is involved in all kinds of wrongdoing in India. Apart from trafficking in arms, explosives, drugs and counterfeit currency, Pakistani agencies and terrorist organizations in the country carry out terrorist activities.




Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a cash reward of 25 lakh rupees on the head of Dawood Ibrahim. Along with this, different prizes have been announced on other people as well. An NIA official said that the Ibrahim gang is involved in all kinds of wrongdoing in India. Apart from trafficking in arms, explosives, drugs and counterfeit currency, Pakistani agencies and terrorist organizations in the country carry out terrorist activities.




The agency has also announced rewards on Ibrahim’s brother Anis Ibrahim alias Haji Anis, his Khas Javed Patel alias Javed Chikna, Shakeel Sheikh alias Chhota Shakeel and Ibrahim Mushtaq Abdul Razak Menon alias Tiger Menon, the official said on condition of anonymity. While the agency has announced a reward of 25 lakhs on Dawood, it has announced a reward of 20 lakhs on Chhota Shakeel and 15 lakhs on the remaining Anis, Chikna, Menon.




Even before this, a reward was placed on Dawood’s head




Hiding in Karachi, Pakistan, Dawood is India’s most wanted underworld don. India is looking for Dawood in several cases, including the 1993 Mumbai blasts. The United Nations Security Council has announced a reward of 25 million dollars on Dawood in 2003. Besides Dawood, India’s most wanted list includes Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed, Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Maulana Masood Azhar, Hizbul Mujahideen founder Saeed Salahuddin and his special Abdul Rauf Asghar.




D Company is reactivating




According to an NIA official, the agency again registered a case against Dawood in February this year. According to information received by the Intelligence Investigation Agency, ‘D’ Company has launched a special unit in India with the help of which it can target the country’s big politicians and businessmen in collaboration with terrorist organizations and Pakistan’s spy agency ISI. Not only this, they intend to help sleeper cells of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Al Qaeda based in India and promote terrorism in India.




NIA action in 29 places




In May this year, the NIA raided 29 locations in the case against Dawood, including people linked to Haji Ali Dargah and Mahim Dargah trustee Suhail Khandwani. The accused in the 1993 blasts include Sameer Hingora, Salim Qureshi alias Salim Phal, Guddu Pathan, a relative of Chhota Shakeel, Iqbal Kaskar of Bhiwadi, a relative of Dawood’s brother, and Qayyum Sheikh.




The dossier prepared by the Indian spy agency lists Dawood’s 9 addresses in Pakistan, including the White House in Karachi’s Clifton. Dawood also holds three Pakistani passports with the first passport issued in Rawalpindi while the remaining two are issued in Karachi.
