PM Modi will give the biggest gift to Kutch district during his two-day visit to Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Gujarat from 27th August. During this visit, the Prime Minister is going to present several projects to Kutch district. One of his important projects is the Kutch-Bhuj Branch Canal, which will relieve a dry region like Kutch from water problems. Prime Minister will inaugurate this branch canal on 28th August. Let’s talk about the special features of this Narmada canal and its benefits, built at a cost of Rs 1745 crores.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Kutch-Bhuj Branch Canal. It is planned to supply drinking water in 948 villages and 10 towns of Kutch. More than 1 lakh 10 thousand hectares of 182 villages will get the benefit of irrigation. The total length of branch canal is 357.185 km. is The carrying capacity of the canal is 120 cubic meters per second. Rapar, Bhachau, Anjar passes through Gandhidham, Mundra and Mandvi talukas. A state-of-the-art earthquake proof canal will be constructed by design experts.
It will also be planned to generate electricity from the canal. A stunning engineering technique with 3 falls and 3 pumping stations will be seen. The Water Canal Bed Power House will generate more than 23 MW of electricity. A special road will be constructed in the sanctuary to allow sheep to cross the canal. Barricading-fencing will be done on both sides of the canal to protect the sheep. Canal water will especially benefit the farmers of Kutch district.
A brave child will launch the monument in Anjar
On 26 January 2001, 185 school children and 20 teachers were going to a rally in Anjar town of Kutch due to the earthquake. They died after being buried under the debris of the surrounding buildings. The tragedy of this incident was noticed all over the world. The then Chief Minister Narendra Modi announced the construction of this memorial in the memory of these children.
Now this memorial is ready outside Anjar city and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate it on August 28. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the construction of this monument has been completed. 100 family members of the deceased have been invited to attend the launch.
The Children’s Museum is spread over five sections
This museum dedicated to deceased children is under construction in five sections. The first section presents pictures of the deceased and memories of the past. After that, in the destruction section, the memorials of the dead children and their replicas are presented showing the debris. A special room has been made to experience the earthquake going on from there.
Here the earthquake will be felt with a simulator and a video on the screen. Apart from that, the process of earthquake occurrence, scientific reasons and other necessary details have been included in the knowledge section. In the concluding gallery, visitors are asked questions about their earthquake experiences.
Prakashpunj for the children’s names and tributes in the memorial
A memorial has been erected outside the museum. Here the names of the innocent children and teachers who were victims are written on the wall along with their pictures. A powerful Prakashpunjah has been built here to pay tribute to him, the light emanating from which will be visible throughout the city of Anjar.
