Devastation after heavy rains in Uttarakhand, several houses were buried in Dehradun's Raipur due to cloudburst

After a cloud burst in Raipur of Dehradun district, at midnight 2 hours and 45 minutes, a terrible flood occurred in Tapsa river from the hills. The waters of this flood returned to the premises of the Tapkeswar Mahadev temple.
Monsoon 2022 has arrived in the entire country. Heavy rain has created havoc in Uttarakhand. A cloudburst incident has come to light in Raipur block of Dehradun district amid heavy rains in Uttarakhand. A cloud burst in the Maldevata area of Raipur Assembly. Maldevata area has suffered heavy damage due to continuous torrential rains and cloudbursts. Over half a dozen houses were buried under debris and several link roads were damaged due to heavy rains. SDRF, district administration are carrying out relief and rescue operations at the spot.
Heavy rains wreak havoc in Dehradun
At 2 hours and 45 minutes after the cloud burst in Raipur of Dehradun district, a terrible flood occurred in the Tapsa river from the hills. The waters of this flood returned to the premises of the Tapkeswar Mahadev temple. The temple of Mahadev became a kingdom of mud and mud all around. So a bridge for the movement of devotees near the temple and the railing of the temple were also stretched in the terrible current of the river. As this tragedy occurred at midnight, fortunately there was no loss of life and property. However, more than 6 houses of the nearby Sarkhet village are flooded with mud and mud again. The SDRF team rescued the trapped people in the village and shifted them to a safe place.

Rescue operation underway
Locals in Sarkhet village reported the cloudburst at 2.45 am, SDRF said. After which the SDRF team reached the spot immediately. All the people trapped in the village have been rescued and some have taken shelter in nearby resorts.
