'I think there will be a riot now': Caught in police-public clash, BJP MLA from Valsad threatens PI in public

Last night in Valsad, there was a clash between the police and the public over the DJ. BJP MLA Bharat Patel, caught in the middle, publicly threatened the PI. The video of which has come out. In which MLA Bharat Patel publicly tells PI Deepak Dhol that, ‘I think there is going to be a riot right now.’ However, in a conversation with Divya Bhaskar, the MLA said, ‘I had said that if I had not come here, there would have been a riot.’

Talking about the entire incident, the workers of Ganesh Mandal of Ahir group were bringing the statue of Lord Ganesha to Lohana Samajna Hall on Tithal Road in Valsad. At that time the DJ was dancing. Meanwhile, PI Deepak Dhol went to stop the DJ with his staff. In which a policeman was pushed, a clash took place between the police and the workers of Ganesh Mandal.

When MLA Bharat Patel came to know about the clash between the police and the workers, he immediately reached the spot. On reaching there, the MLA loudly knocked PI Deepak Dhol. He told PI, ‘We did not say anything about the DJ playing in Tajia, so you will not stop the DJ playing in Ganapati. I think there is going to be a riot right now.’ The video of this fierce threat of the MLA has also surfaced.

In this regard, MLA Bharat Patel said in a conversation with Divya Bhaskar that, in my 10-year rule, I have never had a quarrel with the police. I had said that if I had not come there would have been a riot. If I had not gone there on time, there would have been a big ruckus. People were agitated. I went and pacified everyone.
