Clarification of railway department regarding collision between passenger train and goods train in Maharashtra Gondia
A major train accident is unfolding in Maharashtra’s Gondia in which a passenger train collided with a goods train. After the collision three coaches of the train derailed and more than 50 passengers were reported injured, the system including the health department was rushed and immediate treatment efforts were started. However, the railways later clarified that only one coach had derailed.
No passenger died in this accident
The incident took place around 2.30 pm on Tuesday when three coaches of a train derailed, injuring more than 50 passengers. The accident between goods train and passenger train took place due to lack of signal between Bhagat Ki Kothi. However, the relief is that none of the passengers died inside. The train which suffered this accident was going from Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh to Jodhpur in Rajasthan.
How the event happened!
All passengers injured in the incident have been immediately admitted to government and private hospitals. It is to be noted that both the trains were going to Nagpur in the same direction. A train named Bhagat Ki Kothi was moving ahead after green signal and a goods train was standing on the track at Gondia. After which there was an accident when the Bhagat Ki Kothi train hit a goods train from behind.
