The fire was so ferocious that it engulfed the entire hotel in no time. The flames could be seen from far away. 27 people were trapped in this fire. Who has been rescued.
A terrible fire broke out in a private hotel near Jamnagar in Saurashtra late in the evening of Raksha Bandhan. There were about 27 people in the hotel at that time. In a matter of minutes, the fire had assumed a ferocious form. The flames could be seen even from a distance. Teams of Reliance, GSFC and Jamnagar Fire Brigade reached the spot to control the fire and rescued the people trapped in the fire. The fire is believed to have started due to a short-circuit at the preliminary stage.
A sudden fire broke out late on Thursday evening at Hotel Elanta near Sikka Patiya on the Jamnagar-Khambhalia highway. The fire was so ferocious that it engulfed the entire hotel in no time. Teams of Reliance, GSFC and Jamnagar Fire Brigade rushed to douse the fire. The fire was brought under control after about two hours of struggle. As many as 10 ambulances were also dispatched to the spot.
According to the police, as many as 27 people were trapped in a total of 18 rooms in the hotel, who were rescued. Jamnagar SP Premsukh Delu said that fortunately there was no loss of life and no one was injured in the fire. According to him, three people were taken to the hospital as they were frightened by the fire. However, those three people also did not get any kind of injury. The SP said that there are total 36 rooms in the hotel and people were staying in 18 of them. The fire alarm went off, causing everyone to rush out of the room. Later they were all rescued.
Due to this fire there was chaos in the area. Had the fire spread to the surrounding area of the hotel, the damage would have been huge. But fortunately the fire was brought under control before anything like that happened.
