58-year-old comedian Raju Srivastava’s condition has deteriorated again. Doctors said on Friday that 72 hours are important for Raju Srivastava. However, the doctor has given a positive signal. A panel of doctors has also been sent from Lucknow PGI. Since late night, there has been movement in his body. On the other hand, sister Sudha Srivastava tied a rakhi to him in the ICU on the day of Rakshabandhan and prayed for her brother’s speedy recovery and long life.
At around 10 pm on Thursday, PM Narendra Modi called Raju’s wife Shikha and inquired about her health. Uttar Pradesh CM (Chief Minister) Yogi Adityanath also spoke to Shikha on phone and inquired about her health. Apart from this, he assured to help as much as possible.
The doctor said, movement in the legs is a good sign
Raju’s nephew said that the doctors said that after 48 hours, Raju Srivastava sprained his own leg late on Thursday night, which is a good sign. Along with this, AIIMS Delhi has also informed in the late night health bulletin that now his health is improving rapidly. Raju’s spokesperson Garvit Narang said, he is currently kept on ventilator support. Brain still doesn’t respond.
Talking about the entire incident, Raju had gone to the gym for a workout on Wednesday morning, where he suddenly fainted due to heart pain. Later he was admitted to AIIMS, Delhi.
Angioplasty done 3 times in last 10 years
Raju Srivastava has undergone angioplasty three times in the last 10 years. Angioplasty was done for the first time at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai 10 years ago. After this, angioplasty was done again at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai 7 years ago. After this, doctors have performed angioplasty on Raju Srivastava for the third time on Wednesday.
Now only oxygen is needed
Raju now requires single oxygen support. An oxygen support has been withdrawn on Friday morning. Raju is being given only 40% oxygen support since this morning. Earlier Raju was on 50% oxygen support. When Raju’s wife put her finger on the soles of his feet in the morning, Raju removed her fingers himself.
Raju’s sister came to know only when she was going to tie the rakhi
Talking about Raju Srivastava’s siblings, he has 5 brothers and one sister, Sudha, who lives in Acharyanagar, Kanpur. Adharaste came to know about Raju when the sister had left Kanpur to tie the rakhi on August 9.

Raju Srivastava was born on December 25, 1963 in a middle-class family in Kanpur. Raju wanted to be a comedian since childhood. Raju did a small role in the film ‘Tezaab’ in 1988. After that, he played small roles in ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, ‘Baazigar’, ‘Bombay to Goa’.
In 1994, Raju acted in the TV show ‘Teatime Manoranjan’. Raju got real recognition from ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’. Raju later became popular with ‘Gajodhar’. Raju was last seen in the 2017 film ‘Firangi’. Talking about TV, he last hosted the show ‘Gangs of Hasipur’ in 2014.

In 2014, Raju filed the form for the Lok Sabha election from the Samajwadi Party from the Kanpur seat. However, on March 11, 2014, Raju returned the ticket. Then joined BJP on March 19, 2014. Currently, Raju is the Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Film Development Council.
