The couple got married on February 10, 2005, during the shooting of the film ‘Athadu’ at the Marriott Hotel in Mumbai. On August 31, 2005, Namrata Shirodkar delivered her first child named Gautam Krishna at Global Hospital, Hyderabad. Namrata Shirodkar’s condition had become a bit critical when the child was born prematurely. However, she was cured when she was treated on time by the doctors. Later on July 20, 2012, the actress gave birth to a girl, whom she named Sitara. The actor has played his lead role in many movies till now.

Mahesh Babu has also won many awards. These include eight Nandi Awards, five Filmfare South Awards, four South Indian International Film Awards, three Cinema Awards and one IIFA Utsavam Award.
