GTU in action mode: A total of 9 colleges, including 4 diploma - 5 degree engineering, placed in no-admission zone

Gujarat Education: GTU called for online self-disclosure from 435 affiliated colleges. In which action has been taken against colleges with shortage of teachers, principals and staff from laboratories.




Gujarat Technological University (Gujarat Technological University) has come into action mode against Laliyawadi, which is going on regarding the study of students in colleges in degree diploma collage. Online self-disclosure was called for by GTU from 435 affiliated colleges. In which action has been taken against colleges with shortage of teachers, principals and staff from laboratories. A total of 9 colleges, including 4 in diploma and 5 in engineering, have been placed in the no-admission zone. While 4775 seats of various faculties of 38 colleges have been reduced.

For quality technical education, Gujarat Technological University has come true at every level. At the base of which important factors such as academic inspection conducted by GTU in all the affiliated institutes are working. Recently, GTU called for online self-disclosure from 435 affiliated colleges. After verification of which, 280 affiliated colleges were inspected by experts involved in the field of education. Out of which 38 colleges have shortage of faculties and laboratories and in some institutes, the post of director or principal is vacant for the last 3 years, steps have been taken as per norms.




In this regard, GTU Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveen Seth said that it is necessary to strictly follow all the rules as per the norms of GTU and AICTE so that there is no deficiency in technical education. Academic inspection will increase the quality of education. A total of 38 college seats have been reduced out of 280 academic inspections conducted by GTU. Out of which 1295 seats in 15 colleges of degree engineering, 3300 in 18 colleges of engineering, 60 seats in 1 college of pharmacy and 3 and 1 college of MBA and MCA respectively have been reduced to 60 and 60 seats respectively.

Thus, a total of 4775 seats of 38 colleges have been reduced in all the faculties. The matter has also been reported to ACPC by GTU. Apart from this, a total of 9 colleges have been placed in the no-admission zone by the GTU, including 4 engineering colleges and 5 degree engineering colleges that have not met the standards of GTU in the academic inspection.
