Dhanifoot firing of Dhadpadu gang under CCTV cover: Gunfight between raiders and police at midnight in Rajkot, bloodshed, 4 arrested, 1 PSI injured
A gang of raiders barged into Riddhi Siddhi’s bungalow on Street No. 2 in Chitrakootdham Society on Amin Marg, a posh area of Rajkot, last night with the intention of stealing. These raiding gangs also had deadly weapons. However, when the SOG police came to know about this, the police convoy rushed away, so the raiding gang started firing at the police. Later, as the matter turned serious, the police also retaliated, resulting in a pool of blood as the police and members of the raiding gang were hit by bullets. In this firing SOG’s PSI D.B. 2 members of Kher and Dhadpadu gang have been seriously injured. While 4 people were picked up by the police and the search for the absconding two is underway.
The building was cordoned off
Regarding this, ASI Ravi Vank has stated in the complaint that- I am working as ASI in SOG branch and my job is in field area. Last night at nine o’clock myself and PSI DB Kher, along with Bhanubhai Miatra, Subhashbhai Dangar, Ajaybhai Chauhan, Indrajitsinh Jadeja, Kishanbhai Ahir, Ferozbhai Rathore, Krishnadevsinh Jadeja, Hardiksinh Parmar and Divyarajsinh Jhala were all on night patrol. Meanwhile, the team men cordoned off the building on the first floor gallery and inside the building on the corner of Chitrakutdham Society-2, as soon as 6 armed suspicious persons were seen moving inside the building on the instructions of PSI Kher.
All came out of the house
The PSI reached the Kher Gate and challenged the intruders by giving them police identification. But these people suddenly started pelting stones and everyone started running out of the house. That time PSI Kher had a scuffle with him while trying to catch him. One of them, when PSI Kher was holding him tightly, he managed to free him and he attacked PSI Kher’s hand with Ganesha and injured it. Also another person tried to strangle him.
Stone pelting on the police continued
Meanwhile, one of the robbers took out his gun and pointed it at PSI Kher and threatened to kill Sagrit if he did not leave. On the other hand, other people continued to pelt stones on the police. Meanwhile, PSI Khere was shouting loudly to all the team to come towards him and we all went near him. The man who had the gun in his hand pointed the muzzle towards me and threatened me saying ‘If I come here, I will kill you’.
The armed men fled
So sensing the danger to PSI Kher and our lives, I fired two rounds from my service revolver in the direction of the men who tried to kill PSI Kher, injuring two men. Which was immediately caught by our team. Meanwhile, three of the raiders ran towards the road and were chased. Head Constable Kishanbhai Ahir, Constable Divyaraj Singh ran behind him. These people applied a sticky substance on their body and their hands would slip while trying to hold it. The person who had the weapon (gun) fell on the spot. Kishanbhai and Divyaraj Singh caught a man. Two other armed men escaped.
