  • Gujarat government has taken an important decision for the needy poor families (NFSA card holders) of Gujarat state. Food Civil Supply Department has made an important announcement regarding the festivals. That is, in the cabinet meeting held at Gandhinagar today, the state government has decided to give coconut oil, which is available around 200 rupees, now at 100 rupees.

    More than 70 lakh NFSA cardholders will benefit

    In addition, Jitu Vaghani said, ‘For the first time, it has been decided to give double filter sesame oil at a concessional rate on the seventh-eighth and Diwali. They have a marginal price of Rs 197 per litre. Then the state government has taken an important decision to give a subsidy of Rs 97 per litre. That is, at the price of 100 rupees per liter, this castor oil will be given on the days before Diwali and on the days of Satam-Athma festivals. In which more than 70 lakh NSFL cardholders will get benefit and the burden of 27 crores will come on the government’s exchequer.




    The government buys coconut oil at a total of Rs 197 per litre

    In particular, let us tell you that the government buys oil at 197 rupees. In which 180 rupees is the purchase price of castor oil. While the government buys castor oil for a total of 197 rupees per liter along with other expenses around 17 rupees. At that time, the government decided to give a liter of coconut oil for Rs 100 to poor families, which was available for Rs 200, keeping in mind the upcoming festivals.
