A builder associated with construction business in the city lured a 20-year-old girl from his community to marry her and repeatedly raped her in his house in Akota. Offender Builder vs. J.P. According to J.P. Road Police, city builder Naval Deepakbhai Thakkar (B.W.43, Res.Kanha Bungalows, Amrakunj Society, Elora Park) is a relative of the complainant. The complainant’s father alleged that Nawal Thakkar is married and has a son among his children. Naval Thakkar was coming and going to the house of the complainant for the last one year. Meanwhile, Naval was having a conversation with the 20-year-old daughter of the complainant and throwing evil eye. When the father became apprehensive about this, 6 months ago, he refused Naval Thakkar not to come to his house and to have any kind of conversation or contact with his daughter.

However, the builder used to communicate with the girl on mobile phone frequently. The builder used to take the girl out in his car from where she would attend the tuition class. When the girl’s father came to know about all these incidents 15 days ago, he was shocked and he went to the builder’s house with his close relatives and asked him not to have any relation with his daughter. However, the builder said ‘I have no bad relationship with your daughter and she is like my daughter and I will not have any conversation with her from now on’.

However, two days after this incident, the father found the daughter’s mobile phone. When the father asked about the mobile, the daughter said that she had given the mobile to Naval Thakkar. So when the father checked the mobile phone, there was a nude photograph of the daughter in it, which the father was shocked to see. Apart from this, the daughter also wrote a letter against her father, the photograph of which was also found by the father.

On asking the daughter about the nude photographs and the letter, she said that Naval Thakkar had been taking her to her house at Patavi-Phoslawi Akota for the past 6 months, luring her to marry him. After that I used to have physical relations against my will by promising to marry even though I refused. He used to write those forced letters for his own safety.
