BGMI after PUBG? Battleground Mobile India missing from Google Play Store Apple app

After PUBG, now its new version Battleground Mobile India (BGMI) has also been banned in India? Sports lovers may be disappointed by this news. Because Battle Grounds Mobile India i.e. BGMI has been removed from Google Play Store and Apple App Store. On Thursday, the Battlegrounds Mobile India app mysteriously disappeared from Google Play and the Apple App Store, following which the matter started trending on Twitter as well. Let us tell you that BGMI was launched last year after PUBG Mobile was banned. However, it is not yet clear whether India has banned BGMI as well. But this app is currently not visible on Google App Store and Apple Play Store.

Is BGMI banned in India or not?

Currently, Android and iOS users cannot download BGMI games on their smartphones. Due to the simultaneous disappearance of this app from Google Play Store and Apple App Store, many questions are being raised. Will the company bring a major update or will this game also be banned from India like PUBG Mobile. Or it could be that BGMI has violated a policy of Google and Apple, which has led to its removal from the Play and App stores. However, it can still be downloaded in Android from third party APK websites, but cannot be downloaded in any way on iPhone.

The issue of BGMI was raised in the Rajya Sabha

The sudden disappearance of BGMI from the App Store and Play Store also raises many questions as the issue was raised in the Rajya Sabha recently. Members of Parliament were debating whether action games had harmful effects on children. The upper house was debating a media report that said “child killed his mother while playing PUBG game”. The incident took place in Lucknow last month.

According to PTI, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar had said on July 22 that law enforcement agencies were probing the matter. The minister also assured that its previous version, PUBG Mobile, is banned in India from 2020 onwards. Meanwhile, a company representative told India Today Tech, “We are clarifying how BGMI was removed from Google Play Store and App Store and will provide more details as we get clarification.”
