Death toll rises to 24 as eight more die in Botad's alleged lynching, many families mourn
So far, 24 people have died in the alleged lath incident in Rojid village of Botad.
Rojid village of Barwala in Botad has caused commotion as more than 18 people have died and others are in serious condition due to consumption of poisoned liquor. On the other hand, some patients are still in critical condition.
Deaths of people undergoing treatment in Bhavnagar too
On the other hand, some patients have been admitted to Bhavnagar government hospital for treatment and some have been admitted to Botad. Among them, one died in Barwala CHC center while the rest died during treatment at Bhavnagar hospital.
An SIT was formed following the incident
Following this incident, the liquor maker and liquor seller were immediately arrested by the police. However, following this entire incident, a SIT has been formed under the chairmanship of DySP, which will investigate and submit a report to the government. FSL has also been given samples of people affected by alcohol as well as the dead after which the exact cause of death can be officially revealed.
After the alleged lynching in Botad, the administrative system went into overdrive
The district administration system has been running after the alleged lashing incident in Rojid village of Botad. Botad Collector visited the Barwala Mass Health Center late last night. And with this, the Collector held a meeting with the officials late last night and reviewed it. Along with this, he got information about the treatment of patients affected by toxic alcohol. It may be mentioned that till Monday late night due to the Lattha incident, there was a rush of affected people in CHC and government hospitals.
