UP: Fatal road accident in Barabanki on Purvanchal Expressway, 8 killed
– On June 15, an accident took place between a Purvanchal Express steamer car and a tanker under Dostpur police post in Sultanpur, in which 4 people were killed.
A horrific road accident took place in Barabanki on Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh on Monday morning. In this accident, 8 people died and around 20 passengers were injured. The accident took place when a double decker bus parked on the side of the road collided with another double decker bus coming at full speed from behind. 8 passengers died at the same place. It is learned that the condition of three people is very serious and they have been referred to the trauma center in Lucknow.
The incident took place near Narendrapur Madraha village of Lonikatra police post area. According to the information, these two double-decker buses were going to Delhi from Sitamarhi and Supol in Bihar.
Police and rescue team including SSP Manoj Pandey reached the spot and carried out relief and rescue work. The injured have been admitted to CHC Hyderabad and those who are seriously injured have been referred to Lucknow.
Just last month, there was another accident on the Purvanchal Expressway. On June 15, an accident between a car and a tanker took place on the Purvanchal Expressway under Dostpur police station in Sultanpur, killing 4 and injuring 2. There were 6 people in the car.
The accident was a car head-on collision.
