After the state supply department circular, the Rajkot district supply department has broken all records announcing the price of kerosene for household use, because now kerosene will be more expensive than petrol by Rs 102 per litre! The state government has written to the Rajkot District Supply Department that the new price of kerosene for household use has been fixed due to the price change in the dispatching center of Kandla depot of kerosene.

Based on this letter, the supply officer has announced different prices for Rajkot city and 11 talukas in which kerosene has been fixed at Rs 99.96 per liter in Rajkot city and Rs 102.49 per liter in Upaleta. The government has asked for Kandla in the letter but with it the prices of Vadodara terminal have also increased.

Thus for the first time kerosene has become more expensive than petrol and all records have been broken. Now BPL card holders who still use kerosene will have to spend up to Rs 102 if they want to buy kerosene. Seeing that the price of this kerosene was 66 rupees per liter in the month of March itself, the price has increased by 36 rupees in just 3 months.
