Jharkhand: Van crushes woman police officer checking vehicles, dies
Ranchi, 20 July 2022 A vehicle rammed a woman police officer on Tuesday night when she was checking vehicles near Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi. An official gave this information. Police sub-inspector Sandhya Topno (32) was checking vehicles in Ranchi’s Tupudana area when she was hit by a speeding vehicle and the driver fled with the vehicle. Tupudana police station in-charge Kanhaiya Singh told PTI-Bhasha, “He was immediately taken to RIMS Hospital (Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences) in Ranchi. on the way to the hospital

Police sub-inspector Sandhya Topno (32) was checking vehicles in Ranchi’s Tupudana area when she was hit by a speeding vehicle and the driver fled with the vehicle.
Tupudana police station in-charge Kanhaiya Singh told PTI-Bhasha, “He was immediately taken to RIMS Hospital (Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences) in Ranchi. He died on the way to the hospital.”
According to an eyewitness of the incident, SI Topno showed his hand to stop the vehicle from some distance but the driver fled after hitting him.
A day earlier, a deputy superintendent of police engaged in the investigation of illegal mining in Nuh, Haryana was also crushed by the truck driver. He was indicating to stop the vehicle.
