Encounter of killers involved in Moosewala murder case begins: Encounter continues for 3 hours, one sharp shooter is killed; Another fired an AK-47 at the policeman

Punjabi police are having an encounter with the sharpshooters Manpreet Mannu Kussa and Jagroop Rupa, the killers of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. The police have killed one of the accused. However, his name has not been revealed yet. 3 policemen are also injured in the encounter.

The encounter is going on at Vresamnagar near Attari border in Amritsar. The sharpshooters have been rounded up by calling in Punjab Police personnel from across the state. This area is just 10 km away from India-Pakistan border. A sharpshooter is hiding in a room and firing at the police.

Apart from Punjab Police’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), Special Operation Cell, Organized Crime Control Unit (OCCU), a team of Amritsar Police also surrounded him. At first the sharpshooter was asked to surrender, but he started firing. According to police sources, the weapon used in Moosewala’s murder is still with him. That is why they are firing at the police. The police has issued an announcement from Gurdwara Sahib and advised people not to step out of their homes.

Both the killers were in Punjab

The police found that the sharpshooters who shot singer Sidhu Masewala, Manpreet Kassa aka Mannu and Jagroop Rupa, were still present in Punjab after the murder. CCTV footage from Samalsar town on June 21 showed the duo on a stolen bike. Both the shooters were moving towards Tarantaran. According to sources, by the end of June, he was hiding in a village in Tarn Tarn. Rupa lives in the same area. Here a gangster gave him a place to hide in his farm house. Gangster Raya was also present with him.

Moosewala was killed on May 29. The new footage proves that both the shooters were in Punjab on May 21, 24 days after the incident. Questions have also been raised against the Punjab Police after the CCTV footage came to light. The Punjab Police claimed to form a special team to nab the killers and conduct a quick investigation.

Mannu was special to Lawrence, he fired the first shot

According to the police, Manpri Mannu was a close friend of gangster Lawrence. He had an AK-47 and it was he who shot Moosewala first. Gangster Goldie Barad said that the first bullet was fired by Mannu. The rifle used in the murder is likely to be with Mannu and Rupa. So far Delhi and Punjab police have not been able to reach both of them. Police claim that recently recovered CCTV footage has revealed a lot of information about the two
