India's veteran player gets high prices, becomes world's number one ODI fast bowler - ICC rankings announced

In the International Cricket Council’s men’s rankings, India’s fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah has been ranked number one in the ODI bowlers’ rankings.
The International Cricket Council has released the latest rankings of bowlers in ODI cricket. In the latest update, India’s fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah has reached number one. Bumrah has become the world’s number one bowler in ODIs. In the first ODI played at the Oval on Tuesday, Bumrah picked up six wickets for 19 runs and was instrumental in India’s victory, which pushed him to the top of the ICC ODI bowling rankings.
In 2020, Bumrah lost the number one spot to New Zealand’s Trent Bolt
Bumrah lost the top spot to New Zealand’s Trent Bolt in February 2020. He was at No. 1 for 730 days in the last two years, more than any other Indian and topped the list as the ninth player in history.
Bumrah ranks third in the Test rankings
Bumrah, currently ranked No. 1 in the first T20I, is currently ranked third in the Test rankings, the second Indian fast bowler to be ranked No. 1 in the ODI rankings after Kapil Dev. Maninder Singh, Anil Kumble and Ravindra Jadeja are the other top Indian bowlers.
Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar ranked 23rd
Bumrah’s new ball partner Mohammad Shami also set a record of 3/31 and helped England to 110 in 25.2 overs, taking Shami to 23rd place with teammate Bhuvneshwar Kumar by three wickets. The Indian opener pair has also got some edge after reaching the target in just 18.4 overs in the first ODI against England. Skipper Rohit Sharma is just one rating point behind third-ranked Virat Kohli in an unbeaten 76-run innings, while left-hander Shikhar Dhawan is unbeaten on 31 and is 12th.
Suryakumar Yadav reached the career-best fifth position
In the ICC Men’s T20 Player Rankings, Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav has taken a 44-point lead to reach a career-best fifth position after scoring 117 in the final match of the third T20 series against England. West Indies’ Nicholas Poor has moved up five places to eighth after an unbeaten 74 in the final match of the series against Bangladesh.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar in seventh position
India’s fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has climbed to a career-best seventh position after taking a 3/15 lead in the second T20 International at Birmingham, while India’s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has moved up two places to 19th position. Hershal Patel (23rd with a jump of 10 places) and Bumrah (27th with an improvement of six places) have also moved up.
