    A school bus carrying 30 students sank in Mehboobnagar, Telangana today. Those present at the scene rescued the students. The bus was later pulled out of the water. A school bus carrying 30 students was partially submerged on a flooded underbridge road. Locals claimed that the water level was rising when the bus driver was passing through the underbridge. The driver and locals escorted the school children out safely.

    According to a report, a school bus suddenly sank while crossing a railway under bridge on Friday due to flooding in low-lying areas due to rains in Telangana. At least 30 students trapped in the bus were miraculously rescued. Seeing the bus sinking in the water, the locals ran and one by one all the children were pulled out of the water almost to the throat.

    It may be mentioned here that Mehboobnagar district has been flooded due to heavy rains in the last two days. Details of heavy rains are being received in several districts due to active monsoon across the state. The flood-hit districts of the state include Rangareddy, Medchal-Malakjagiri, Yadadri-Bhongari, Kamareddy, Jango, Rajanna Sirsila and Jagatiyal. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in Telangana in the coming days.
